ST - The Victorian Internet (1998) Tom Standage

I know it sounds like a Steampunk novel. It’s not. I don’t know if that turn you on or turns you off, but it’s the truth. (At least on of you came hoping for steamy H.G. Wells noooods—sorry to disappoint.) We will be talking about the future though, and inevitably that will include references to science fiction. Mainly we’re gonna talk about the telegraph, why it was way cooler, and more disruptive than you think, and then we will collectively bitch about how ungrateful we all are for the mind-boggling, futuristic devices we radiates our genitals with in our pockets every day.

Read or Die a Slave
When you don't have knowledge yourself, you are a slave to those who do. I'm looking for the knowledge to power our lives, from psychology to productivity to woo-woo.
